They look like ornate samovars and were most likely used to humidify whole rooms. Fuel filler neck. The „Wolfer“ is one of the first inhalers with deposition of the aerosol in the bronchia. We knew patients who used it until the end of the 20th century.
The „Wolfer“ inhaler came in various casings, among others in convenient leather bags. The „Asthma Inhalant Dr Wolfer“ was made using the following recipe:

Adrenalinum                                    1%
Acidum ascorbicum                          2%
Ephedrinum hydrochloric                 5%
Glyverinum con.-
Chlorobutanolum                             0.5%
Excip.ad.solut.
